Presented is the 1997 Fleer Ultra Gold Medallion parallel card of "Big Papi" David Ortiz, who over his career established himself as one of the most dominant DH's in the majors. A lifetime .286 hitter with over 500 home runs, he provided the Red Sox with many clutch performances. David was a 7-time Silver Slugger award winner, an All-star in 10 seasons and was a major contributor in the 3 World Series Championships along with many other accomplishments. He was instrumental on the 2004 Red Sox team as it ended the 86-year World Series drought as they came back from an 0-3 deficit in the ALCS and then steam-rolled the St. Louis Cardinals in a four-game sweep.
