"This original 1938 tobacco card is a beautiful example of pre-war 'Real Photo' cigarette card production. Unlike many cards from this era that used lithograph illustrations, the Sinclair 'Champion Dogs' series used actual photographs to showcase the elite show dogs of the late 1930s. This card, No. 11, features the celebrated King Charles Spaniel Ch. Ashtonmore Barritone, owned by the well-known breeder Mrs. Raymond Mallock." The card shows light corner softening and minor edge wear consistent with its 1938 issue, but the reverse is exceptionally clean with no glue residue or foxing.
